B-Stock is so excited to welcome Derek Schmitz to the Sales team this summer! As a summer teammate, we know Derek will be an incredible asset to the company. Derek is currently studying Finance at Santa Clara University. Learn a bit more about Derek and see his answers to some questions below.

Q: What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?

I’m excited to learn to use the different sales softwares and applications.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)

I wanted to be an artist.

Q: What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?

“Whatever decision you make, you can make it the right one.”

Q: Where can people find you after work or school?

After school, you can find me playing basketball.

Q: What is a hidden talent of yours?

A hidden talent is that I have a great sense of direction and never get lost.

Q: What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?

Alt-rock plays in the background.

Q: Where would you go with unlimited PTO?

I love traveling to Southern California, particularly San Diego.

Q: What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?

When I’m stuck creatively I take a walk with my dog.

Q: What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

I’m proud of getting my Eagle Scout award.

Q: What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?

I hope to work diligently for the sales team and possibly find some mid-market companies to sell to.
