B-Stock is so excited to welcome Samuel Kim to the Account Management team this winter! As a winter extern, we know Samuel will be an incredible asset to the company. Samuel is currently studying Statistics at Carleton College. Learn a bit more about Samuel and see his answers to some questions below.

Q: What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?

I am most excited to learn about the types of questions and topics that come up in client meetings, in regards to what kind of data the clients are looking for.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)

When I was really young, I wanted to be a professional baseball player, but eventually changed my goal to working in the front office of an MLB team, which is still what I want to do when I grow up.

Q: What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?

Don’t overthink.

Q: Where can people find you after work or school?

Likely at a sporting event, I love to watch all kinds of sports.

Q: What is a hidden talent of yours?

Definitely my sports trivia, although I’m better at trivia for events that happened in the 2010s-current.

Q: What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?

Music, I like an artist named Juice WRLD, his music calms me down.

Q: Where would you go with unlimited PTO?

I would probably just travel all over Asia and Europe; there are many countries that I would like to visit in those two continents that I’ve never been able to go to.

Q: What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?

I usually just listen to music or watch videos that interest me; oddly, that helps me come up with more ideas.

Q: What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

Becoming a Questbridge Scholar, allowing me to go to college on a nearly full-ride scholarship.

Q: What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?

I want to apply my data analytics skills not only to help B-stock short term but also in long term needs.

If you’re interested in B-Stock’s externship program, please contact [email protected] or reach out on LinkedIn!
