B-Stock is so excited to welcome Jiarui Wang to the Product team this summer! As a summer teammate, we know Jiarui will be an incredible asset to the company. Jiarui is studying Quantitative Economics at UCLA. Learn a bit more about Jiarui and see their answers to some questions below.

Q: What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?

I’m excited to learn how to use data to improve user experience by choosing the right product features.

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)

I wanted to be a lawyer when I was a kid.

Q: What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?

One piece of advice I have been given that has stuck with me is to talk to as many people as possible and listen to their advice and story.

Q: Where can people find you after work or school?

At the swimming pool, I like to swim.

Q: What is a hidden talent of yours?

A hidden talent of mine is that I can surf.

Q: What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?

I prefer not to play anything. Silence improves my concentration and focus.

Q: Where would you go with unlimited PTO?

With unlimited PTO, I would go to Hawaii. I like the beach and the ocean.

Q: What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?

When I’m stuck creatively, I will try to do other things and come back later.

Q: What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

I’m proud of everything I have right now.

Q: What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?

I want to bring my skills in data analysis to help B-Stock optimize products and improve user experience, which will contribute to the growth of B-Stock overall.
