First-to-market offering provides an automated way to access and review historical, current and future pricing, and depreciation data across device models

SAN MATEO, Calif., February 3, 2025 – B-Stock, the leading B2B recommerce platform and system of record for all resale, is pleased to announce the launch of its Mobile Insights tool. This first-to-market offering provides B-Stock’s wireless customers — which include top OEMs, wireless retailers, and buyback companies — on-demand visibility into current and future pricing trends across makes and models to better inform how and when devices should enter the secondary market, and their anticipated performance.

The tool leverages AI and machine learning to enable an automated way to access and review historical, current and future ASP (average sales price), and depreciation data across device models. By scanning hundreds of thousands of transactions across the bstock.com platform and then analyzing them across variables including category, item condition, and brand, B-Stock’s Mobile Insights provides wireless retailers and OEMs with the ability to:

  • View historical performance by model and condition
  • Compare their sales to overall market data
  • Forecast pricing, up to 3 months into the future, with greater than 90% accuracy
  • Better inform which disposition channels devices should move through
  • Inform trade-in offers by understanding residual values over time

Armed with this type of proprietary and predictive data, retailers and OEMs are in the best position to optimize resale strategies to achieve the best pricing possible for trade-in devices.

“We’re currently seeing our customers leverage Mobile Insights data to inform purchase and trade-in programs, enhance inventory management to optimize distribution centers, and improve customer engagement by ensuring the most appealing prices. And the fact that it’s an automated tool means they have on-demand access to review ASP and depreciation data, replacing the need to rely on manual methods,” said Sean Cleland, VP of Mobile for B-Stock. “With over 35 million mobile devices sold via hundreds of thousands of transactions over more than a decade, B-Stock has built a robust, unrivaled dataset on the buying and selling trends across the B2B mobile resale market and we’re excited to use this data to bring our Mobile Insights to market.”

B-Stock’s Mobile Insights is the only tool like this on the market; one that uses AI, ML, and historical data to offer this type of on-demand, actionable data specific to what kind of pricing can be achieved.

Mobile Insights is available exclusively for sellers on the B-Stock platform. To learn more about the tool, our platform, and how you can leverage data to inform your B2B resale strategy, please request a demo.
