B-Stock is so excited to welcome Aaliyah Woodberry to the HR team this summer! As a summer teammate, we know Aaliyah will be an incredible asset to the company. Aaliyah is currently studying History at Ohio State University. Learn a bit more about Aaliyah and see her answers to some questions below.

1. What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?

I am very excited to learn how the process of recruiting for a growing company works!

2. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher. I loved helping my peers learn new things, and I still love to share random facts with those around me.

3. What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?

The advice to “step out of your comfort zone” has stuck throughout my college career. I think it is why I enjoy People Operations because I am consistently pushed out of my comfort zone and forced to come out of my shell little by little which is exciting.

4. Where can people find you after work or school?

After work or school, people can find me at my favorite store or restaurant with my friends.

5. What is a hidden talent of yours?

I would say my hidden talent is interior decoration. I love to help my friends design and decorate their rooms.

6. What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?

I like to listen to a mix of R&B, Pop, and Electronic music when I work.

7. Where would you go with unlimited PTO?

If I had unlimited PTO, I would visit every major city on my travel bucket list including England, Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Sydney, etc.

8. What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?

When I am stuck creatively, I usually take a step back and try to clear my head by taking time to think or listen to music.

9. What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

When I was 16, I traveled around Ireland to play with my high school fiddle group in restaurants/pubs, parks, and even outside of a castle.

10. What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?

During my time at B-Stock, I hope to contribute my strong work ethic and curiosity to my team by maintaining a consultant attitude towards the various processes they are sharing with me. I hope this will help keep the POPs content fresh and easily digestible!
