Almost every state will also have its own version of the resale certificate.
Visit your individual state’s Department of Revenue website to learn more about resale certificates. They will be able to provide you with instructions on how to acquire a sales tax number in your area. This information will be used when building your B-Stock Buyer Profile.
NOTE ON RESELLER TAX ID
A reseller tax ID can be called a variety of different names depending on the country, state, or province your business is registered. You may know this as: a business tax ID number, seller permit number, sales tax certificate number, or sales tax ID number.
Some sellers may require you to complete a separate TED (Tax Exemption Digitization) resale certificate. However, completing your Buyer Profile will meet most of your tax exemption requirements on B-Stock transactions.
