B-Stock is currently growing at a tremendous rate and as a result, we are scaling in all areas: more buyers, more sellers—and, maybe most importantly—more staff. We have just created our first vertical team, dedicated specifically for mobile/wireless. Lead by Sean Cleland, B-Stock’s Director of Mobile, the mobile team is responsible for establishing partnerships with wireless clients and providing daily support, guidance and strategy on how they can successfully navigate the mobile secondary market. The team is also helping grow B-Stock’s already robust wireless buyer network. Ultimately, the mobile team has been set up to ensure that everyone associated with the vertical—buyers, sellers and other stakeholders—are all actively collaborating to ensure a top notch experience.

Meet the core Mobile Accounts Team: Sean Cleland, Dave Whitlock & Jon Speen

Sean is an industry leader and subject matter authority in every aspect of pre-owned and refurbished consumer electronics, mobile devices and video games; including retail operations, reverse logistics, refurbishment and statistical modeling. He’s our in-house mobile secondary market thought leader and actively involved in discussions about universal conditioning codes, the importance of R2 certification and how sellers and buyers can benefit through transparency and risk aversion.

Sean oversees and works directly with Dave Whitlock and Jon Speen. As Strategic Account Managers focused on Mobile, Jon and Dave work closely with many of B-Stock’s top mobile clients. In this role, Dave and Jon also work directly with a number of our larger buyers in the mobile space; and they also attend mobile-related trade shows with Sean. As a whole, the core team’s background in secondary mobile e-commerce provides valuable insight into the buyer’s perspective and ways to improve our mobile marketplaces.

In addition to our dedicated core team, the mobile division is also strongly supported by other B-Stock departments. Jim McNulty works in Marketplace Development and contributes real-time feedback to the group from our sellers and buyers, including quality concerns, pricing feedback and international shipping logistics. Then there’s Jennifer Haynes, who is in charge of creating the actual auctions for our large mobile sites. Holly Nelson represents the Customer Service and Dispute Team (hopefully, you won’t have to speak with her though!). The mobile team also has full support from marketing, finance and the tech team to ensure a world class experience at all stages of engagement.

If you’re interested in learning more or buying or selling trade-in mobile and wireless merchandise, Sean and the team would love to hear from you. Contact us anytime.
