We’re pleased to announce that Dave Whitlock from our Mobile Team has been named a 2020 “Pro to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. The Pros to Know Awards recognize supply chain executives that are leading initiatives and making significant contributions to help solve supply chain challenges in today’s business climate.  

Since joining B-Stock in 2017 as Strategic Account Manager for the Mobile Vertical, Dave has immersed himself in providing solutions for B-Stock’s biggest mobile customers. A big part of his role is to advise on auction strategies for his customers’ B2B marketplaces. Under Dave’s guidance, these marketplaces allow companies to increase pricing on trade-in and excess mobile devices while ensuring risk aversion, brand protection, and a controlled channel for how the devices enter the secondary market. For example how the items are grouped, creative methods for buyer engagement, what type of restrictions there are (R2 only), and the starting price for an auction will all affect final pricing, risk aversion, and the velocity in which product is sold. Based on their needs (control, velocity, pricing), Dave advises his wireless customers on how best to assemble lots and will go the extra mile to ensure each of his client’s marketplaces is operating seamlessly.

Dave also works hard to ensure the business buyers have good experiences purchasing on his customers’ marketplaces. He is the go-to for all B-Stock’s top mobile buyers, helping them work through the application and bidding process. This ‘white glove’ service for buyers helps push pricing up for his customers; a win win.
