Navigating the Different Buying Channels of B-Stock

As a new buyer, navigating through B-Stock’s different sites including Auctions, B-Stock Supply, and our Private Marketplaces to find what you need may be a little confusing. Are you looking to purchase smaller-sized auction lots to resell on places like eBay or Poshmark? Perhaps you need to buy bigger bulk lots to stock the shelves of your warehouse, discount shop, or virtual storefront. Well, we can help! B-Stock can accommodate the many needs of our buyers, you just need to know where to look!

In this post, we are going to break down the basics of B-Stock’s three main buying channels: Auctions, B-Stock Supply, and our Private Retailer Marketplaces.

B-Stock Auctions

Auctions are where we recommend you begin your buying journey. Think of Auctions has an internal search engine to help you find and view the type of merchandise you’re seeking. Our Auctions page lets you search across our vast network of retailer liquidation marketplaces by category, region, retailer, or even specific products. At any given time there are 1,500 auctions open for bidding via Auctions. Once you find an auction lot you are interested in, Auctions will automatically redirect you to that private retailer marketplace. From there, you must register and be approved to view the lot in more detail and place your bid.

Through Auctions, you can also view our very own B-Stock Supply marketplace.

B-Stock Supply

B-Stock Supply is a multi-seller marketplace where approved buyers can purchase returned, excess, and refurbished inventory from hundreds of different sellers all in one place. It’s like eBay but for business-to-business transactions. The B-Stock Supply platform hosts auctions. However, sellers list and sell merchandise themselves. Our Supply sellers range from Fortune 500 companies to small or medium-sized businesses. Lot sizes are usually smaller than on the private retailer marketplaces. So, that makes it the perfect place to source from if you’re just beginning your buying and reselling business. Many of our B-Stock Supply buyers resell the merchandise on sites like eBay, Poshmark, or Amazon. Keep in mind, as with all of the inventory up for auction on B-Stock, this merchandise is liquidation. That can range from damaged customer returns to new shelf-pulls or overstock inventory.

To begin bidding on Supply you’ll need to create an account. Please visit the Registration Page to get started. Resale certificates from our US buyers or tax IDs from non-US buyers are required.

Private Marketplaces

Lastly, private marketplaces. Our third buying channel on B-Stock. B-Stock currently operates more than 60+ private marketplaces for today’s largest retailers and manufacturers including Home Depot, Amazon, Macy’s, Walmart, Costco, Lowe’s, Walgreens, Wayfair, and more.  A private marketplace is where a single retailer (like Walmart) lists and sells its returned, excess, and other liquidation inventory directly to you, the buyer. B-Stock creates and customizes these private marketplaces as the retailer’s own liquidation auction site, catering to the retailer’s specific needs. So, buyers must get individual approval from each private marketplace before being able to bid and buy. Each retailer has its own specific set of terms and conditions for buyers and it is ultimately up to them who can purchase their liquidation inventory.

Through these private marketplaces, buyers have access to large quantities of bulk inventory ranging from pallets to truckloads across all conditions. Buyers can find a wide variety of inventory from retailers in different categories including apparel, appliances, toys, mobile, furniture, grocery, health and beauty, and more. In these private marketplaces, you’re transacting directly with the retailer. In other words, there is no middleman! Inventory comes straight from the retailer’s return center or store shelves.
