In 2018, B-Stock celebrated its diamond anniversary with 10 years of liquidating excess and overstock inventory for major retailers; and in the process we became the world’s leading liquidation platform. We now have established offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Salt Lake City, Orlando, and London. Some of our major highlights this year include new investment partners, new team members, new marketplaces, and a fresh new look for the website and blog.

In June, B-Stock was pleased to announce a $65 million investment from Spectrum Equity. The investment reinforces B-Stock’s 10-year history of profitable growth and will enable us to accelerate our efforts to transform how retailers approach returned, excess, and other liquidation inventory. And it all begins with adding new talent to help support our explosive growth!

B-Stock’s Expanding Staff

B-Stock’s Human Resources Manager, Sierra Smith, is wrapping up another hiring frenzy! She’s the person you want to speak with if you want to join this ever growing company (she’s currently looking to hire for marketing, sales, and technology positions).

Over the year, we’ve added:

44 Full Time Employees – YAY!

That includes 36 new hires and 8 contractors converted to full time

B-Stock’s Growing Marketplaces

We show no signs of slowing down when it comes to adding new team members. This growth in talent is due primarily to the number of client marketplaces we’ve added this year, courtesy of our Sales team.

19 New Marketplaces in 2018

B-Stock operates B2B liquidation marketplaces for nine of the top 10 U.S. retailers, among hundreds of others. On these marketplaces companies sell their returned, excess, and overstock merchandise to our base of business buyers, who then resell those items to consumers. This year we’ve partnered with a variety of U.S.-based retailers, like Amazon and Walgreens; we also have added some great Canadian and European retailers to our network. One thing’s for sure: we are definitely global!

B-Stock’s  Auctions

More marketplaces means… more auctions. The number of auctions listed and number of items sold is pretty astounding…

150,000 auctions in 2018

70 million items sold

As we close out another great year, B-Stock is ready for 2019 (and all projections have us reaching for the stars as we keep our feet on the ground).

To our sellers and buyers (current and prospective): we wish you much success in 2019. Don’t hesitate to contact us, we’d love to hear from you!
