Customer Return inventory is defined as any merchandise previously sold to a consumer and then returned. There are several types of Customer Return inventory:

Inventory that has been determined to be defective |
| Warehouse Damaged |
Inventory that has been damaged in the warehouse |

Inventory that has been damaged by a vendor. |
| B-Grade |
Fully functioning, light scratches, packaging may be damaged |
| C-Grade |
Not fully functioning - damaged |
