Expanding Your Resale Certificate Capabilities

We’ve heard your feedback and have added a new feature to your buyer profile to make it easier than ever to send inventory to your customers. This new feature allows you to use your current resale certificate (RC) to qualify to ship to 31 states that accept out of state certificates in addition to 5 no sales tax states.

One resale certificate now eligible for additional ship-to states

How You Can Benefit From Multi-State Resale Certificates (RCs):

  • Streamline purchases for resale, eliminating the need for separate tax-exempt certificates for each state or vendor
  • Ship across state lines with more ease than ever
  • Enhance your wholesaling capabilities by unlocking the ability to send goods purchased on B-Stock to more states
  •  Lower your shipping costs by buying from states closer to your final shipping destination

Program Details

  • Any state RCs not in Group B can be used to meet the requirements of shipping to Group A states
  • Group B exemptions do not meet multi-state RC requirements if attempting to pair with Group A
  • If you are located outside of these 36 states eligible for this program, your business may consider applying for one of these (if applicable) to support the growth of your business.

The list of 36 states eligible for multi-state RCs includes 31 who accept an out-of-state RC (Group A) along with five others who do not charge any sales tax (Group B).
