Who are RGS Events?
RGS Events are an Official Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) Supplier, Sponsor and Logistics Project Manager for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Starting with the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, RGS Events have been involved as a supplier, project manager and sponsor across numerous major events - Olympic & Paralympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Canadian Games, Pan American Games, FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cups and more.
Our Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FFE) is tailor designed for the major event industry. Our company has developed industry leading products and a highly experienced team to help support our clients.
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games is RGS Events’ most exciting contract yet, creating a global opportunity for our clients to acquire high quality used stock at market-beating prices.
What products will be available for sale through the B-Stock Auction?
RGS Events are supplying a wide variety of products to the Games, including:
- Bedroom Furniture
- Bathroom Furniture
- Office Furniture
- Security & Transport
- Event & Recreational Furniture
- Outdoor Furniture
- Gaming Arcade Machines
- Medical Furniture
Almost all products will be available for sale through the auction. Typical stock can include, amongst many others, stanchions, tables, chairs, umbrellas, wardrobes, armchairs, cabinets, lockers, sporting equipment.
Where is the auction merchandise located?
The merchandise will be located at the Paris 2024 warehouse, just outside of Paris, and the Paris 2024 Athlete’s Village. B-Stock will use Seko, the logistics partner, to collect all items from collection points in Paris.
When will the auction be running and how often are there new auctions?
Auctions will be running between July 2024 and August 2024. New auctions can be posted at any time. Buyers that are subscribed to the RGS Events Major Sporting Event Auction newsletter will receive an email when auctions are opening and closing each day.
Will there likely be further products available beyond the Paris 2024 auction?
RGS Events work with concurrent international sporting events, and are likely to have, although not guaranteed, similar FF&E available for purchase on the same platform every 12-24 months, allowing committed clients to plan their procurement well in advance with stock purchases at regular intervals.
Where were the products manufactured?
RGS Events have been working with our international manufactures and suppliers for over 50 years and have developed excellent and trusted working relationships, ensuring quality of production and reliability. Many of these items are produced throughout our manufacturing partners in Asia. Some items will also be made locally in France for the project.
Why are the auctions taking place so far ahead of the end of the Olympic Games?
Given the scale of the Olympic Logistics operation, a huge amount of planning must go into how all the FF&E is transported, assembled, used, bumped out, disassembled and liquidated. The timeframes to achieve these steps are very tight. Consequently, conducting the sale process of all RGS FF&E in advance is vital to determine the end destination for our products and allow time for logistics planning to ensure the right products end up in the right container and are shipped to the right client.

How large are the lots being sold?
Lots will vary from in size. Please refer to each auction title and description for detailed information.
What state will the products be in at the end of the Games and what Quality Control Tests are conducted?
The products will be used in the lead up to and during the Olympic Games. Given the short time period that our products will be used during the Games, we describe our products as having ‘limited use’ or ‘almost new’. However, depending on the location where they are used, the impact of use on the products may vary. In some cases, a percentage of products will also be completely new, and still in their original packaging.
Most products will show some signs of use and wear or have endured transit. All products shipped will be functional but may not have original aesthetic condition and may include scratches, stains, dents, some signs of rust and missing elements which do not impair functionality. Most products will not be in original packaging and will not have original documentation. Products are sold ‘As-Is’.
All products will be subjected to our Quality Control inspection prior to release after the Games and deemed either acceptable or damaged. Items which are classified as damaged products will not be included in final orders.
-
Can I pick up the merchandise myself? Can I just pay when I pick it up?
No, B-Stock will use a logistics partner to collect and on-deliver all items from collection points in Paris. Payment will need to be made in advance as per the payment schedule.
What are the payment terms?
100% payment of the purchase price & shipping cost is required within 2 business days after end of the Listing.
When will the products be available?
The collection/delivery window will be from 11th September 2024 to 23rd November 2024. The B-Stock operational team will be in touch with the winning bidders to confirm the exact delivery schedule for the order.
How will the products be loaded and what protection / packaging will they have to avoid damage during transportation?
Given the scale of the operation and the tight timeframes we are working with to take back all our products at the end of the Games, we will be unable to hold on to the original packaging and boxes in the vast majority of cases. Nearly all products arrived in France flat-packed but with the time constraints in most cases, the form of the product on the exit will change. Where possible, products will be shipped `knock-down` or `semi knock-down` rather than fully assembled and either repacked into their export cartons or shrink-wrapped. Cardboard and shrink-wrap will be used for glass and/or fragile products. Castors will be removed, bagged and attached to the product. Smaller items will be bulk packed into boxes.
What guarantees can RGS or B-Stock provide that the products will arrive safely at the agreed place of destination?
RGS have a thorough QC process, which ensures that only goods which pass our internal QC are loaded and all goods that are loaded will be done so with care, protection and packaging as and when necessary and available to ensure the goods do not endure any damage in transit. However, it is important to note that all goods are sold “As-is”.
RGS Events are selling all goods CPT (Carriage Paid To), it is the buyer’s responsibility to take their own insurance on the goods if they wish.
What about product certification and compliance?
It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that the goods meet any local regulations and product compliance requirements for the country they are receiving the goods in.
How does the complaint process work (quality of goods, quantities received, reimbursements etc.)?
Detailed information about quantity discrepancies and quality of goods is available on every auction page and should be read prior to bidding. If any complaints should arise on receipt of the goods then please email [email protected]
The buyer will have 5 business days from the date of receipt to advise of any product quality issues, with clear descriptions and photographs of the purported damage.
What is included/excluded in the shipping cost and what extra charges could there be?
- 1 Hour free time for unloading at client address is included in the cost
- €50 per hour for each additional hour of unloading time at client address will be charged above the first hour
- Tail Lift Charge is €150 – If you require a tail lift the additional cost is €150 and this needs to be confirmed in advance of the delivery.

The quantities listed for sale are based on our closest estimations for available goods post-Olympic Games. The actual quantities available at the conclusion of the games may vary for the following reasons:
- Loading: Whilst all care is taken, there may be small variances above or below the quantities stated in the auction lot due to differences during the loading of each truck and the limited time available to load all the goods.
- Loss, Theft & Damage: The volumes of stock offered by RGS Events are based on the volumes of stock that RGS Events supplied to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. There is the risk that some stock is either lost, stolen or seriously damaged whilst in the possession of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and that the quantities returned to RGS Events are less than the quantities delivered originally. RGS Events has no control and bears no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of stock during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Paris 2024 withholding: The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games retains the right to retain and withhold any goods supplied by RGS Events for legacy use. Whilst RGS Events does not expect any withholding, RGS Events has no control over any eventual withholding. In the event that the stock is not returned to RGS Events by the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, then such stock will not be available for resale, therefore RGS Events may be unable to fulfil orders involving this stock.
Loss & Damage – Order Cancellation
The quantities made available for sale through the B-Stock Auction platform relate to the quantities originally supplied to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. These quantities are subject to change as a result of Loss & Damage or by the retention of goods by Paris 2024 for Legacy use. RGS Events retains the right to cancel any order at anytime prior to shipment if we are unable to fulfil it due to not having the stock returned and therefore available for resale even if the full amount of the auction price has been paid. RGS Events will refund any monies paid by the customer for the goods, including the deposit and balance payment. RGS Events will not be liable for anything other the amount paid by the customer; this includes loss of interest, loss of profit, monetary or other compensation or any other loss above and beyond the amount paid by the customer.
Loss & Damage – Order Quantity Adjustment
The quantities ordered may fluctuate up to 20% without prior notice. If the goods have a fluctuation of quantity within 20% the customer will be refunded the money paid for the product price of the missing goods. There will be no refund to the shipping costs as these are fixed per truck. If the quantities have more then 20% fluctuation then the customer will be notified with the option to receive the updated quantities of goods or if they wish to cancel the order and be refunded the monies paid. Where possible, the customer may also be offered the option to receive substitute products of similar items, the details and quantities of which will be communicated at the time of notification. The customer must confirm their decision within 24 hours of notification. The 20% calculation is based on pallet volume across the whole truckload.
Loss & Damage – Credit
If a credit is owed for an auction due to Loss & Damage, RGS Events will reimburse you in an amount equal to the approved discrepancy. By way of example, if Buyer wins a Listing and pays a Winning Bid of €1,000, and the shipment is missing an item that is 10% of the retail value of the Listing, RGS Events will issue Buyer a reimbursement in the amount of €100 (i.e., 10% applied to the of the Winning Bid amount of the Listing). Such reimbursement may be in the form of an offset against any amount you may owe to RGS Events or a credit to your B-Stock account.
